So
maybe the night didn't end like some wanted it to. Maybe there was some
disappointing calls. But if you love MMA, then you know that stuff
happens. Starting the night
out with the Ladies. Sivada Khoulthasen of Team Submit and Sarah Kahele
of HIBC, came out attacking. While Kahele got the win by referee
stoppage in the first round, Koulthasen left her mark on the scene as
well. Shortly after, Kahele's sister Chermaine took on Kona's on Lani Fauhiva of Average Joes
and these two did not disappoint! Coming out fierce as well, Fauhiva
took control of the fight, winning by cease of corner. All 4 ladies did
awesome and really set the tone for the night.
I
know you're all wondering, What happened to the Cabbage/Westbrook
fight? Well there was some speculation Westbrook pulled out over the
week. Then there was an OK he was fighting. Whatever the reason, There
was no Co Main Event for the night. But even with that, the card didn't
disappoint. Give credit, when credits due. Exactly the words for the
main event. Both guys came out ready. Cisneros throwing some mean body
kicks and Padilla answering back with his powerhouse punches. Cisneros
finished round 1 with a punch knocking Padilla against the ropes and
on the ground. Round 2 got more intense. Cisneros landing a flying knee
taking Padilla down. They exchanged more body kicks, power punches
and then Cisneros busts another flying kick! Padilla used his
powerhouse punches knocking Cisneros down to answer back. The third and
final round was sounded by the bell and both fighters came out sweat
pouring. Heavy hitting and body shots echoing throughout the gym.
Cisneros dominated the third round giving him the win over Padilla by
team stoppage. Wasn't exactly what the crowd expected as their boos
overshadowed Cisneros victory. "Even though you boo me, I still love
you guys. I do this for you guys. " A proud Cisneros said amidst the
commotion.
